  • A microwavable cup or mug
  • Clean water source
  • Sport Pal Mouthguard
  • Tongs or a slotted spoon
  • Access to a microwave

Step 1 : Heating the water

2. Soften the Mouth Guard

Fill the microwavable cup with enough water to fully cover the mouthguard.
Microwave the water for the recommended time depending on the wattage of the microwave being used.   See Chart

3. Cool Guard Slightly

Remove the mouth guard with tongs or spoon. Leaving no water left in the mouthguard. Let it cool for about 15 seconds, just enough that it won’t burn your mouth but is still soft.

4. Fit the Guard

Place the softened guard into your mouth, centering it on your upper teeth.
Use your fingers to press the guard tightly against your front teeth and gums. With your thumb, press the Spot Dot button firmly up onto your palate right behind your two front teeth and keep it there for 10 seconds. Bite down on the mouthguard while sucking out any remaining water or saliva to ensure a snug fit. Keep your mouth closed biting down on the Sportpal for 30 more seconds to complete the fitting process of the mouthguard.

5. Let It Cool to Set Fit

Remove the mouth guard and place it in a bowl of cold water for 1 minute to set the shape.

6. Test your Sport Pal

Try the guard on. It should feel snug and secure without needing to clench. If the fit isn’t right, remold your Sport Pal by repeating the steps above.

7. Remove Spot Dot Placeholder

**IMPORTANT** Once you are satisfied with the molding process of your Sport Pal, REMOVE THE SPOT DOT PLACEHOLDER revealing your Spot Dot hole which will serve as your tactile cue for your correct tongue positioning to unlock the full benefits Sport Pal can offer you!
